I visited Bratislava for the first time a few years ago when I was living in Vienna. Yet, I saw very little for one reason or another, leaving me with only lunchtime memories from Bratislava.
A huge mistake!
Bratislava is a really nice city. The castle observes everything from above. There are many interesting ideas for anyone who is passionate about photography. It also offers history.

The photo above highlights the difference between the old and new parts of Bratislava. The old part is characterized by the sloping roofs of the houses. In the distance is the new part, made of gray and tall buildings of modern conception.
Yet, one photo has stayed in my heart more than most. It is certainly not for its beauty, to be clear. But it is this one. The traffic light hangs above the busy road at rush hour. I don’t know. It has something fascinating about it that reminds me of Bratislava’s lively pulse.

Since some beautiful photos I took in Bratislava seem to have disappeared forever, I will close (for now) with this close-up of some houses that have particularly fascinated me. It is part of the many photos I took from Slavin.

Below, on the other hand, I had some fun with Photoshop on with another photo I had taken from Slavin. The cross, the skyscrapers, and the sky that was originally clouded by smog have turned red. They are covered with a few white clouds. It’s another unique view of the skyline that Bratislava offers and that I cherish.
