On this page, I will collect the best photos I’ve taken of wildlife, showing the beauty and variety of nature. Each image reflects a memorable meeting that highlights my love for wildlife photography. I will also include photos of animals that caught my eye during my travels. Some were moving gracefully in their habitats. Others were playing in their environment. Through this collection, I hope to share my special moments. I want to encourage others to appreciate the richness of wildlife in the world around us.
Leadbeater Kakatoo

This Leadbeater Kakatoo is an Australian endemic bird. Many of the photos you will see on this page were taken in Australia. They were taken especially in the Northern Territories and Tasmania. In these two areas, there are incredible varieties of wildlife species. These species can not be found anywhere else in the world.
If you want to read more in detail, you can find more photos of this trip to Australia. All the photos are available here.
Barn owl

The barn owl is the best photo I took during my entire trip to Australia. Please forgive me, real photographers who can do better.
It was a feat for me to photograph a bird flying at that speed, or wildlife moving fast in general.
I managed it.
…and then the barn owl is also beautiful!
Quokka

This is a quokka, the small marsupial that lives only on Rottnest Island, off Perth, also in Australia.
There are lots of them on the island. But with all the tourists trying to photograph them, it’s not easy to get a decent shot.
It is said to be the happiest wild animal in the world because it sometimes has a smiling expression.
Maybe next time I will manage to elicit a smile from him too đŸ˜‰
Kangaroo

These are baby kangaroos. Their journey through life begins with difficulty, as they often lose their mothers in road accidents.
They then arrive at rescue centres or sanctuaries in Australia. They are reared and released back into the wild with other Australian wildlife at the right time.
Coreopsis novaehollandiae

Its name is also Cape Barren Goose. It is another endemic Australian species and this photo was taken in Tasmania.

This is one of my favourite photos. The photo didn’t turn out so well technically. I was photographing the colourful parrots (the galahs). Nonetheless, the kangaroo that started chasing the birds gave the photo great meaning. It highlights the beauty of the free and wild wildlife in Australia.
Wombat

The wombat is one of the cutest animals in Australia. You’ll find them mainly in Tasmania, especially on Maria Island and Cradle Mountain. But I know it roams in many parts of the island.
Tasmanian devil

Here it is. This is my favourite animal. I admit that I organised my trip to Australia and Tasmania to see and photograph it up close.
The Tasmanian Devil is sadly threatened with extinction. A facial tumor affects this particular species.
Science has made enormous progress, but the danger is not over.
The devils are largely kept in sanctuaries in Tasmania or elsewhere to control the problem that affects them.
In this photo we are in the forests of Cradle Mountain in Tasmania.
Quoll

This is a quoll trying to sleep. Let’s not forget that most Australian wildlife is nocturnal. They sleep during the day and move around at night when the rest of the world is asleep.
Always be careful!
Dolphin

This was one of the most emotional moments of my life. I felt this way especially when I looked at the screen of my Canon. The dolphins jumped out of the water clearly. There are other photos that were slightly worse, but very clear.
Of all of them, I like this one the best.
We are travelling between Naxos and Iraklia in Greece and out of nowhere a group of dolphins swim next to our ferry…
Sea turtle

Despite the onslaught of tourists, there are still corners of unspoiled nature in Greece, especially under the sea. In Kastelorizo, between Greece and Turkey, 5 or 6 sea turtles often make an appearance in the island’s harbour. A group of them gathers there regularly. According to the locals, they are endowed with great strength and are now many years old.

A small bird clinging to a branch a few meters from the terrace of my hotel room in Lindos…
It was supposed to be a swallow

I said that I would also take in some animals I encountered around. This dog guarded a cultivated field in Kos, Greece. I walked up to the Asclepeion, a monument on the island.
Scary, is not it? đŸ˜‰

Cats can put them all together, countries like Greece really have a lot of them and of every kind… I would otherwise need pages and pages
